So I tried your vanilla cake recipe this past weekend (with the egg yolks) and when it was time to pour the batter into the pans I saw the butter sitting very nicely on the table! I decided to put the butter in and mixed the batter, but there were still lumps. I went for it anyway and the cakes came out ok and according to my friend and her kids who were the guinea pigs it tasted yummy! Imagine how much better it will taste when I actually remember to put the butter in when it says to do so!! I am going to try the Pink Champagne version next! Thank you very much for the recipe.
Oh and I also tried your SMBC with this cake and just increased the sugar to 12 oz and that too tasted yummy!!
